Terms, house rules and refunds.

What you agree to when you book, what we promise back, and exactly what happens if plans change.

Effective 16 September 2026. Read the privacy policy

1. Who we are and what these terms cover

  1. 1.1The property at Omaxe Trade Center, Sector Alpha 2, Greater Noida, Uttar Pradesh 201310 ("the Studio") is operated by The Urban Hideout, a sole proprietorship of Mudit Kumar ("we", "us").
  2. 1.2These Terms, together with the House Rules, the Cancellation and Refund Policy and the Privacy Policy on this website, form the contract between you and us for any stay booked through https://theurbanhideout.in, WhatsApp or in person. By paying for a booking you accept them. They are governed by the Indian Contract Act, 1872 and, where you book as a consumer, the Consumer Protection Act, 2019 and the Consumer Protection (E-Commerce) Rules, 2020.
  3. 1.3If a booking is made through Airbnb, MakeMyTrip, Goibibo or another platform, that platform's terms govern payment and cancellation; the House Rules and Guest Conduct sections here still apply during the stay.

2. Who can book and stay

  1. 2.1The person who books must be at least 18 years old and is responsible for every guest in the party.
  2. 2.2Every guest, including children, must present a valid original government photo ID at check-in (Aadhaar, PAN with photo, Driving Licence, Voter ID or Passport). Photocopies or screenshots alone are not accepted. We record ID details as required under the Sarais Act, 1867 and local police guest-registration requirements.
  3. 2.3Foreign nationals must present a passport with a valid Indian visa. We are required to submit Form C to the Foreigners Regional Registration Office within 24 hours of check-in.
  4. 2.4Unmarried couples are welcome. There is no restriction on adult guests of any gender or marital status, provided each guest carries valid ID and complies with these Terms.
  5. 2.5The Studio sleeps a maximum of two adults. Additional visitors are not permitted inside without our prior written (WhatsApp) consent.

3. Stay types, prices and taxes

  1. 3.1Current base prices are displayed on the booking page and may change without notice for future bookings; the price shown and paid at the time of booking is the price for that booking. Stay types are: Hourly (from 12 pm, minimum 3 hours, currently ₹300 an hour); 8-hour package (₹1,499); Night (check-in 9 pm, check-out 8 am, ₹1,799); Full day (check-in 11 am, check-out 10 am the following day, ₹2,299).
  2. 3.2Date-specific pricing, long-stay discounts and promo codes are applied automatically at checkout. The total shown before payment is the total payable. There is no cleaning fee, service charge, or any charge collected at the door for a standard stay.
  3. 3.3We are not currently registered under GST, so no GST is charged or shown on the price. A receipt for the amount paid is issued on request to the email given at booking. If we become registered, prices for future bookings will state GST separately.
  4. 3.4Comparison prices shown on the website (for example "₹2,599 on Airbnb, save ₹300") are indicative of third-party listing rates on the date they were last updated and are not a guarantee of any third party's pricing.

4. Booking, payment and confirmation

  1. 4.1A booking is confirmed only when full payment is received through our payment partner, Razorpay Software Private Limited, and a confirmation is sent to your email. Until then, dates are held for a short period and may be released.
  2. 4.2We do not store your card, UPI or bank details. Payment is processed by Razorpay under its own terms and RBI guidelines.
  3. 4.3The lockbox access code is shared on WhatsApp or by email on the day of arrival, only to the contact details given at booking. Do not share the code. You are responsible for anyone you admit with it.
  4. 4.4If a payment is made in error, or duplicated, tell us within 7 days and we will refund the excess to the original payment method.

5. Check-in, check-out and extensions

  1. 5.1Check-in and check-out times are fixed by the stay type chosen. Early check-in or late check-out is subject to availability and, if granted, is charged at the current Hourly rate per started hour, unless we waive it in writing.
  2. 5.2Checking out later than 60 minutes after the agreed time without our consent is treated as an unauthorised extension. We may charge the Hourly rate for the additional time and, if the next guest is affected, the cost of relocating that guest.
  3. 5.3If you do not arrive within 6 hours of the check-in time (or by the end of an hourly/8-hour slot) without informing us, the booking is treated as a no-show under the Cancellation and Refund Policy.

6. Cancellation and refund policy

  1. 6.1Night and Full-day stays: cancel 24 hours or more before the check-in time for a full refund. Cancel less than 24 hours before check-in for a 50% refund. No-shows and cancellations after check-in time are not refundable.
  2. 6.2Hourly and 8-hour packages: cancel 6 hours or more before the slot start for a full refund. Later cancellations and no-shows are not refundable.
  3. 6.3Long stays (3 nights or more): the first night is subject to the rule above; nights not yet used are refunded in full if you leave early and tell us in writing, less any long-stay discount that no longer applies to the shortened stay.
  4. 6.4To cancel, message us on WhatsApp from the number used at booking, or email us. The time we receive the message is the cancellation time.
  5. 6.5Refunds are made only to the original payment method, initiated within 3 working days of the cancellation and normally received within 5 to 7 working days depending on your bank. Payment gateway charges are not deducted from refunds.
  6. 6.6If we cancel a confirmed booking for any reason other than your breach of these Terms (for example maintenance, an emergency at the building, or a prior booking that overruns), you receive a full refund and, at your option, a rebooking at the same price. This is the extent of our liability for a cancellation by us.
  7. 6.7Nothing in this policy limits your right to approach the District Consumer Disputes Redressal Commission or any other forum under the Consumer Protection Act, 2019.

7. House rules

  1. 7.1No smoking, vaping or open flames inside the Studio. Smoking is permitted on the balcony only, with the door closed. A deep-cleaning charge of ₹2,000 applies if the Studio smells of smoke at check-out.
  2. 7.2No narcotics or other substances prohibited under the Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances Act, 1985. Alcohol may be consumed responsibly by guests of legal drinking age in Uttar Pradesh (21).
  3. 7.3No parties, events, photography or video shoots for commercial purposes, or any activity that is unlawful, that disturbs other residents of the building, or that breaches the residents' association rules.
  4. 7.4Quiet hours are 10 pm to 8 am on the balcony and in common areas. Security staff may ask you to reduce noise; repeated complaints are a breach of these Terms.
  5. 7.5Pets are not permitted. Outside food and groceries are welcome; please leave the kitchenette as you found it.
  6. 7.6One car or two-wheeler may be parked in the basement in the slot we indicate. Vehicles are parked at the owner's risk.
  7. 7.7Please report any damage or malfunction on WhatsApp as soon as you notice it so we can fix it during your stay.

8. Damage, loss and liability

  1. 8.1You are responsible for loss of or damage to the Studio, its contents and the building caused by you or your guests beyond normal wear and tear. We will notify you with photographs and the repair or replacement cost within 48 hours of check-out. The cost is payable within 7 days and may be recovered through legal process if unpaid.
  2. 8.2Your belongings are your responsibility. We are not liable for loss or theft of personal property except where caused by our negligence. Items left behind are kept for 14 days and may then be disposed of.
  3. 8.3To the fullest extent permitted by law, our total liability to you arising from a booking is limited to the amount you paid for that booking. This does not exclude liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, for fraud, or any liability that cannot be limited under Indian law.
  4. 8.4We are not liable for interruptions to electricity, water, internet, lift service or other utilities that are outside our reasonable control, including outages affecting the building or the area, though we will make reasonable efforts to restore or work around them (an inverter provides backup for essentials).

9. Our right to refuse or end a stay

  1. 9.1We may refuse check-in, or ask you to leave without refund, if a guest cannot produce valid ID, appears intoxicated to the point of being a risk, brings unregistered visitors, breaches the House Rules, damages property, harasses or threatens anyone, or engages in unlawful activity. Where the breach is minor and the first occurrence, we will warn you first.
  2. 9.2We may enter the Studio during a stay only in an emergency, for urgent repairs, or with your consent, and will tell you in advance where possible.

10. Force majeure

  1. 10.1Neither party is liable for failing to perform because of events beyond reasonable control, including natural disaster, epidemic, government order, curfew, strike, riot, fire, or failure of public infrastructure. If such an event prevents the stay, we refund the unused portion in full.

11. Privacy and CCTV

  1. 11.1We collect and use your personal data as described in the Privacy Policy, in accordance with the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 and the Information Technology Act, 2000.
  2. 11.2The building operates CCTV in common areas (lobby, lifts, corridors, basement) under the control of the residents' association. There are no cameras inside the Studio.

12. Complaints and grievance officer

  1. 12.1Complaints may be sent to muditchaudhary482@gmail.com or WhatsApp +91 85338 88088. We acknowledge every complaint within 48 hours and aim to resolve it within 30 days, as required by the Consumer Protection (E-Commerce) Rules, 2020.
  2. 12.2Grievance Officer: Mudit Kumar, muditchaudhary482@gmail.com.

13. Governing law and disputes

  1. 13.1These Terms are governed by the laws of India. Subject to your rights under the Consumer Protection Act, 2019, courts at Gautam Buddh Nagar, Uttar Pradesh have exclusive jurisdiction over any dispute.
  2. 13.2If any clause is held invalid, the rest continue to apply. Our failure to enforce a clause is not a waiver of it.
  3. 13.3We may update these Terms for future bookings. The version in force on the date of your payment applies to your booking. Effective date of this version: 16 September 2026.
